Carolyn Smith

A nature lover since childhood, I spent most of my childhood outdoors tromping through the woods and water looking for whatever nature could show me. I participated in FFA and 4-H with animal projects and grew to appreciate and respect the natural world.

When I married and had children, our family enjoyed camping and exploring. My husband and I were Boy Scout leaders to our troop here in Plainview.

Throughout my life I have held both leadership and co-chair roles in many organizations including, but not limited to, school, civic and church organizations. I have also been active as a Nebraska Master Naturalist since 2016.

From these experiences, I have been fortunate to learn so much about the world around me. I am honored to learn and serve as Vice-Chair for the Nebraska Master Naturalists.
