Matt Jones, State Program Coordinator

Matt is a Certified Master Naturalist and a native of Kearney, Nebraska. Matt has his teaching certificate in secondary Social Studies education and got his start at Audubon’s Rowe Sanctuary as an Americorps Volunteer in 2010 assisting in developing programing and coordinating volunteers. This paired his love for Natural Resources and sharing them with others. Joining the Nebraska Master Naturalist Program in 2012 has given him an excellent opportunity to experience unique areas of Nebraska and connect with fellow Nebraskans. Matt's primary role is to coordinate and manage the Nebraska Master Naturalist Program, by planning future training opportunities, recruit participants and facilitate trainings as well as meet the daily needs of the program. You can find him in the Buffalo County Extension Office in Kearney, NE. He can be reached at mjones30@unl.edu or 402-937-8601.
