 amm State Recreation Area and the new Schramm Education Center can experie
 nce the new facility with:\n\n    Newly renovated and expanded aquariums f
 eaturing Nebraska’s natural aquatic habitats – cool water streams\, rivers
 \, reservoirs and farm ponds. The total water in the four large tanks is 2
 1\,200 gallons (compared to the total water for the old aquarium at 7\,000
  gallons)\n        Stream 3100 gallons\n        River 8600\n        Pond 1
 100\n        Reservoir 9500\n    Six smaller tanks focusing on some of Neb
 raska’s smaller\, lesser-known fish species.\n    A touch tank inviting vi
 sitors to feel a Pallid Sturgeon (tank is 2\,200 gallons).\n    Seventeen 
 live animal tanks featuring Nebraska’s reptile and amphibian species inclu
 ding interactive digital signage focusing on each species.\n    Educationa
 l nature center areas including a reading nook\, maker’s space\, bird watc
 hing area and pre-school play area\, and learning stations focusing on ins
 ects\, birds and nature.\n    Bird wingspan exhibit inviting visitors to m
 easure their “wingspan” against several Nebraska native bird species.  And
 \, a mammal exhibit inviting visitors to compare their size to that of num
 erous Nebraska mammals and learn about mammal adaptations.\n    Interactiv
 e digital features including wayfinding map\, touch screens focusing on th
 e species of the area\, interactive digital games including color-a-fish\,
  lake stocking game and build-a-fish game.\n    Virtual reality mountain b
 iking experience where visitors will have the opportunity to “ride” the tr
 ails of local state park areas on an actual bike.\n\nAdditionally\, visito
 rs will be able to experience:\n\n    Over five miles of amazing hiking tr
 ails and new interpretive trail signage explaining the area’s natural reso
 urces.\n    The history of the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission through 
 exploring the historic canyon ponds and hatchery house where NGPC was star
 ted.\n    Explore the Biologically Unique Landscape filled with flora and 
 fauna native to the area.\n\nOn the grand opening day we will also have gu
 ided hikes on the hour and tours of the new Schramm Education Center on th
 e half-hour.\n\nThere will be no park entry fee or admission fee on this d
 ay.
