VO: Mammal Education Cabin W NGPC State Fair

Friday, August 23, 2019Monday, September 2, 2019
Grand Island, NE

Master Naturalists:

We are looking for volunteers to assist at the Nebraska Game and Parks Outdoor Encounter exhibit at the Nebraska State Fair in Grand Island, August 23 through September 2. We have a hands-on Mammal Education Cabin where kids will be able to locate animal tracks and make rubbings of the animal track on a booklet they will receive to take home with them. This booklet will have fun facts about the mammal they just gathered. Pelts and skulls will be on hand for the kids to see and feel. Looking for individuals that are educators and knowledgeable about Nebraska mammals and able to help at this large outreach program.

The shifts are from:

Friday – Sunday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and
Monday – Thursday 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Each volunteer would receive a free admission into the state fair.

If interested, please give me a call.

Thank you in advance for your help.
