Save the date! Pollinator Week is a 7-day international celebration. Here in Nebraska, we have a special effort to promote and share our love and excitement for pollinators. Each year, Nebraska Game and Parks hosts "Nebraska Pollinator Week", recruiting interested organizations across the state to register and host an event during this fun week.

Full list of events are coming!

We would love to utilize Master Naturalists to assist with some upcoming events this spring and summer. We are looking for folks who work well with children in groups.

The first events are in April/May:

National Children's Picture Book Day (special LLT) with Bruce the Bear Costume and honey/bees

Saturday, April 2, 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Walt Library

Sunday, April 3, 1-2 p.m., at Eiseley Library

We would love for someone to do a short presentation (10-15 minutes) about bees for kids aged 3-8 as part of a special storytime about bears (and bees).

Very Hungry Caterpillar Costume and Butterfly release

Sunday, May 1, 1:00 p.m., BMPL

We will be doing a butterfly release that day. Again we need someone to do a short presentation, geared towards the 3-8 age group about Nebraska butterflies.

These will be longer presentations (30-45 minutes) about pollinators sand their importance in the ecosystem. These will be mostly school-age children but there will be some preschool-age kids. These groups can be anywhere from 25 kids at a small library, to 200 at our larger libraries.

What Information Do We Collect? When you visit our website you may provide us with two types of information: personal information you knowingly choose to disclose that is collected on an individual basis and website use information collected on an aggregate basis as you and others browse our website.

Employee Access, Training and Expectations -- Our organization values, ethical standards, policies and practices are committed to the protection of user information. In general, our business practices limit employee access to confidential information, and limit the use and disclosure of such information to authorized persons, processes and transactions.
How Can You Access and Correct Your Information? You may request access to all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain in our database by emailing us using the contact form provided to you within the site structure of our website.
Do We Disclose Information to Outside Parties? We may provide aggregate information about our customers, sales, website traffic patterns and related website information to our affiliates or reputable third parties, but this information will not include personally identifying data, except as otherwise provided in this privacy policy.
