 nathan discovered gardening on a whim after he and his wife\, Miriam\, pur
 chased their first home. He was immediately intrigued by the small insects
  that liked to visit the new plants he installed. Since then\, he has writ
 ten a children’s book about insects\, speaks to children and adults about 
 them\, and his landscape now revolves around creating an insect-friendly/b
 ird-friendly habitat. His was one of the first home landscapes to be certi
 fied as part of University of Nebraska Extension's 'Nebraska Pollinator Ha
