 Hitch Hike series. Meet up with the group at the Old Lincoln Highway Deck 
 at the Hitchcock Nature Center Campground to begin this walk down the Hohn
 eke Trail to Oak Avenue and the Bunker Hill Loop. Explore the northern sec
 tion of the park and view a remnant of the original Old Lincoln Highway.\n
 \nThe public is invited to attend all the hikes in this series. They are d
 esigned to introduce visitors to Hitchcock Nature Center as well as the Lo
 ess Hills. The series begins with a moderate level hike and will get progr
 essively more challenging as we build up to a 3+ mile difficult hike in Se
 ptember. Water bottles\, bug spray\, and sunblock are all recommended\, pl
 ease dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear.\n\nWell behaved 
 dogs are permitted to accompany their owners but must be leashed at all ti
 mes\, you must pick up and remove their waster\, and you may be asked to r
 emain toward the end of the group if there is a large number of participan
 ts. This is an educational program\, disruptive pets may be asked to leave
  the group.\n\nDue to COVID-19 the format of this program may be adjusted.

 is event\, free will donations will be gratefully accepted & used to fund 
 additional free & low cost public programming at your county parks.\n\nPar
