 alists\, and nature enthusiasts to learn about our agency and the work NFS
  does across the state. Throughout the day we will be posting online video
 s to our social media accounts and over the lunch hour we are hosting a li
 ve “Meet The Foresters” zoom event.\n\nSee below for more details\, inform

  our #MyFavoriteTreeNE social media contest for Smokey Bear Swag!\n\nFeel 
 free to share with anyone you think might be interested in learning more a
 bout the Nebraska Forest Service and the tree-mendous forests that call Ne
 braska home.\n\nForest Fest Goes Virtual\n\nDue to the increase in Coronav
 irus cases in our communities\, the Nebraska Forest Service has decided to
  pivot Forest Festival Family Fun Night into an online\, social-media base
 d event.  We'll have online tours\, story time\, and prizes to win - inclu
 ding a social media contest. \n\nThere will be a virtual Forester Meet N G
 reet on Friday September 17th from Noon to 1 PM CST. Join NFS for during y
 our afternoon to meet Nebraska State Forestry Professionals\, ask all of y
 our tree related questions\, and learn about the cutting edge forestry and
  research work being done both at Horning State Farm and throughout Nebras
 ka by Nebraska Forest Service. The foresters will give brief introductions
  to their work via zoom with time for questions from attendees. Advanced R
 egistration is Required.\n\nAs we approach September 17th\, record a 20 se
 cond long video clip in front of your favorite tree or tree species in ord
 er to enter our social media contest. More details described in the video 
 below. \n\nWe hope you can join us next fall for an in person Forest Festi
 val at Horning State Tree Farm in Plattsmouth\, Nebraska!\n\n
