X-WR-CALDESC:Join us at Hitchcock Nature Center on Tuesday\, September 21st
  for the final Hitch Hike of the 2021 season. This hike will begin at 6:00
  p.m. & is the most challenging hike of the series. Head out to the wester
 nmost section of the park along the famed Westridge Trail to our final des
 tination\, a scenic overlook with an astounding view of the Missouri River
 . All experience levels are welcome but the +2.5 mile hike will include tr
 aversing steep terrain.\n\nThe public is invited to attend all the hikes i
 n this series. They are designed to introduce visitors to Hitchcock Nature
  Center as well as the Loess Hills. The series begins with a moderate leve
 l hike and will get progressively more challenging as we build up to a 3+ 
 mile difficult hike in September. Water bottles\, bug spray\, & sunblock a
 re all recommended\, please dress for the weather & wear appropriate footw
 ear.\n\nWell behaved dogs are permitted to accompany their owners but must
  be leashed at all times\, you must pick up and remove their waster\, and 
 you may be asked to remain toward the end of the group if there is a large
  number of participants. This is an educational program\, disruptive pets 
 may be asked to leave the group.\n\nDue to COVID-19 the format of this pro
 gram may be adjusted. Please check back for updates.\n\nPre-registration i
 s not required for this event\, free will donations will be gratefully acc
 epted & used to fund additional free & low cost public programming at your
  county parks.\n\nParticipants must purchase a $5.00 per vehicle daily pas
 s with exact change or check at the front gate paybox\, or have a valid Po
