  Prairie? Join us for a free (and fun) training session on Monday\, April 
 18 from 12:30 – 3:00 pm. Discovery Leaders help lead school and daycare fi
 eld trips into the prairie\, woodland\, and pond habitats. Our approach to
  education programs is exploratory\, with hands-on investigations and open
 -ended activities to encourage participants to make observations and come 
 to their own conclusions. Discovery Leaders encourage exploration\, model 
 good observational skills\, and ask guided questions.\n\nSpring and fall a
 re the busiest times for field trips\, which last from 2 - 4 hours. Leader
 s should be available between 9:30 am – 2:30 pm. Any amount of help is app
