 \nThis online\, self-paced course is designed to equip educators with the 
 knowledge\, skills\, tools and resources to take environmental education l
 earning outdoors. Over the 8-week course term\, participants will explore 
 resources\, videos\, and complete assignments in which they will:\n\nArtic
 ulate a case and include at least five research/evidence-based benefits of
  teaching outdoors.\n\nHave a working definition and be able to provide ex
 amples of what outdoor learning is for you as a teacher. \n\nIdentify pote
 ntial barriers for your students and articulate ways to minimize or elimin
 ate those barriers. \n\nIdentify and assess at least five outdoor learning
  opportunities for your students. \n\nExpress the who\, what and how of st
 rategies for gaining the necessary support for your short\, medium and lon
 g term outdoor learning goals and/or projects. \n\nIdentify strategies for
  successful outdoor learning which include overall strategies\, management
  of students\, adapting for weather and using technology outdoors. \n\nCom
 pare and contrast the learning environments of an indoor classroom space a
 nd outdoor learning space to more effectively teach outdoors. \n\nComplete
  an outdoor learning plan which includes goals and objectives\, getting su
 pport\, inclusion\, classroom management\, location(s)\, curriculum connec
 tions\, weather\, safety and necessary materials \n\nAbout eeCourses: \n\n
 Made up of modules\, with a variety of learning experiences\n\nBenchmark/s
 ummative submissions (eeCourse journal reflections designed to demonstrate
  competency and increase retention)\n\nDiscrete knowledge/competency gaine
 d\n\nCapstone project designed to meet the needs of your current work/prof
