 t in further learning around how environmental educators can more intentio
 nally and respectfully incorporate Indigenous traditional ways of knowing 
 into environmental and outdoor learning.\n\nThis course is designed to pro
 vide a strong foundation in Traditional Ecological Knowledge and ways of k
 nowing. Through four modules\, which incorporate a variety of readings\, v
 ideos\, and other interactive activities\, you will: \n\nIdentify some of 
 the opportunities and challenges in using TEK to address environmental cha
 llenges.  \nDevelop your personal guidelines for integrating principles of
  TEK in your teaching which honor\, acknowledge and care take TEK and Indi
 genous people. \nCompare and Contrast Traditional Ecological Knowledge & W
 ays of Knowing with Western Science & Ways of Knowing \nSupport your stude
 nts in developing relationships with the world around them.\nTeach a lesso
 n or a unit which integrates TEK knowledge and/or practices with your stud
 ents.\n \nThis 8-week course is designed to require 12-15 hours of active 
 participation and work and is made up of 4 modules including:\n\nModule 1:
  What is Traditional Ecological Knowledge?\nModule 2: Comparing Traditiona
 l Ecological Knowledge and Western Science\nModule 3: Learning Through Obs
 ervational Science\nModule 4: Designing Your Teaching Plan\nAlthough learn
 ing is self paced\, there is a suggested timeline of completion for each m
 odule. Additionally\, participants will be required to attend at least one
  1-hour online discussion with fellow eeCourse participants to share ideas
 \, reflections on course materials\, and/or their final course project. Th
 ree options will be provided when the course begins and participants will
