VO: Butterfly Tagging Turkey Creek Preserve

Saturday, September 11, 2021
9:00 am12:00 pm
Turkey Creek Preserve south of Ft Calhoun

Hi all, from fellow NMN Cathy Prettyman!

It's monarch migration time!!! I've been involved with tagging for the past couple years at Turkey Creek Preserve just south of Ft Calhoun. We could use more people to help net butterflies. Details below...if interested respond to me and I will forward your contact info to Kate Murphy the coordinator. She will send directions and details. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

What: Volunteers are needed to help net butterflies for tagging on Saturday, Sept. 11th.
Where: Turkey Creek Preserve south of Ft Calhoun
When: 9 AM to lunch time. Option to stay longer, till 1:30-2 PM bring sack lunch. Individual bags of chips, soft drinks, and cookie snack packages will be provided. Also water will be available to refill water bottles.
Note: Volunteers would need to sign a release form as it is private land. Be prepared to climb hills and chase butterflies through tall vegetation. It's really fun!
