Join us for a Nature Journaling Workshop and spring hike at Gjerloff Prairie! Grace Gaard, nature-based artist and Aquatic Ecology Education Specialist with Nebraska Game & Parks Commission, will be joining us to lead the workshop. Engaging our observation skills and a sense of curiosity, we’ll head out for a hike through the prairie bluffs with plenty of opportunities to observe spring wildflowers, wildlife, and the Platte River. Using various prompts, you’ll sketch landscapes and flowers, write, and take in the beauty of spring on the prairie.

Participants are encouraged to bring along a journal of their own and any pencils, pens, etc. that they wish to use. We will have some additional journals and writing utensils available if needed.

We will meet at the Education Center at Gjerloff Prairie at 9:30am. Coffee, tea and snacks will be available at the Education Center after the workshop and hike.
