Second Annual Know Your Nebraska Invasives Day

WHEN: Saturday, May 30th , 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm
We are currently looking for volunteers to help with the following:
Welcome Booth: Greet visitors and provide them with a map and event passport, award prizes upon passport completion, and answer visitor questions. 2 volunteers needed.
Zebra mussel boat detective: Simulate watercraft inspections by adhering sunflower seeds, acting as zebra mussels, to a boat. Provide guests hints about where “zebra mussels” are located and provide attendees with junior watercraft inspector certificates upon request. 2 volunteers needed.
Gator Driver: Drive guests from the main road of the park to the treehouse upon request, prioritizing those with mobility restrictions. Must have taken state required defensive driving course. 1 volunteer needed.
Carp Fry: Fry pre-fileted silver/bighead carp for guests to sample throughout the event. 3 volunteers needed.
Round Rafting: Assist guests with round rafts on Schramm SRA’s paddling pond. Must be certified in paddle sports. 3 volunteers needed.
