The Nebraska Natural Legacy Conference is heading west in 2019! The 9th annual Natural Legacy Conference will take place onOctober 9–10 at the Gering Civic Center. The conference focuses on wildlife habitat conservation, research, and environmental education occurring statewide. There will be a fun and informative project field tour option during the event. Meals and all conference activities will be included with your $40 registration. Please save the date, spread the word, and watch for more details and online registration to open later this summer.

Call for presentations featuring Nebraska-based Environmental Education & Outreach to be part of a symposium at the upcoming Nebraska Natural Legacy Conference.
The 9th annual Natural Legacy Conference is an opportunity to learn, collaborate, and build partnerships that foster conservation. Agencies and organizations supported by the Natural Legacy Project and State Wildlife Grants are highly encouraged to participate. This event is made possible through support from the Nebraska Environmental Trust.

Presentations featured as part of this symposium should be around 15-18 minutes long, with 2- 5 minutes for questions from the audience.

For those who may be interested in camping, options include the Wildcat Hills SRA and nearby Buffalo Creek and Cedar Canyon WMAs. A local Nebraska Master Naturalist has offered up primitive camping at the nature preserve on his farm along the North Platte River just east of Scottsbluff or more sheltered camping with some facilities at the farmstead.
