Buffalo Bill BioBlitz

Friday, May 14, 2021Saturday, May 15, 2021
Buffalo Bill State Historical Park and SRA, North Platte, NE

The goal is to
identify as many species as we can and record them on iNaturalist at this link
https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/buffalo-bill-bioblitz . Species can be added during or after
the event, whichever you prefer. Please let me know if you will be needing anything to use for
collections during the event (traps, nets, magnifying glasses, containers for holding the species,
bird guides, etc.) but if you are able to provide your own equipment or bring extra for each
other it would help tremendously! Camping in the Buffalo Bill SRA will be free and we will cover
your State Park Permit. Just let Adam or I know which spot you end up at! There are also a few
people who are willing to help where needed, Vicky Cowan, Carolyn Smith and Douglas Wells
but if anyone wants to help others during their time slot that’d be great! You do not have to
attend every talk/walk either. You are welcome to just come for your event. I have listed the
tentative schedule below.
Feel free to email/call/text myself (308-530-3916 / work email meghan.manary@nebraska.gov)
or Adam Jones (Park Superintendent – 402-805-7259 (text is best) or
adam.jones@nebraska.gov). Please respond to this email with your phone number that we can
reach you on in case we need to contact each other during the event.
