Lewis and Clark State Recreation Area

Unique parade coming to Lewis and Clark
On Sept. 5, lighted boats will sparkle across the water at Lewis and Clark State Recreation Area, during the park's 3rd Annual Lighted Boat Parade.

Come see something you've never seen before — or enjoy this beautiful sight again! You can participate in the parade yourself, or bring lawn chairs and blankets and watch from the shoreline.

First-, second- and third-place prizes will be awarded, including a two-night cabin stay at a state park and $200 in Nebraska Game and Parks Bucks. Register your boat by calling the park office at 402-388-4169.

The parade begins at 8 p.m. — the perfect way to end the day! Check out what else Lewis and Clark State Recreation Area has to offer, and enjoy plenty of outdoor fun before the parade gets underway.

A park entry permit is required; you can buy one ahead of time online.
