VO: Nebraska Association of Teachers of Science Conference
The Nebraska Master Naturalist Program has been asked by Nebraska Association of Teachers of Science (NATS) to be part of their annual conference, which is taking place October 7-9 at Doane University. I will be presenting on the 8th, sharing about the NMNP, who we are, what we do and how science educators could benefit from our trainings. On the morning of October 9th 8:00am-12:00pm they are requesting Master Naturalists that could lead a few hands on learning activities, such a bird walk, plant and or Tree ID walk, insect sweep netting and identification, aquatic dip netting and macro invertebrate identification all to give their audience of teachers a modeling experience of science based activities in the field. If you are interested in volunteering to lead an activity or have questions about what may be involved, please contact Matt email@example.com by Friday September 10th at the latest.
This is a great opportunity to share what our members do with the public and connect with science educators from around the state!
