VO: Tour the Wild Side – Using Native Plants in Your Landscape

Saturday, August 6, 2022
10:00 am2:00 pm
Lincoln, NE

Wachiska Audubon Society and Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center are partnering for the 2nd annual Tour the Wild Side – Using Native Plants in Your Landscape event. Last year’s event was quite the success, with attendees enjoying and learning about a wide variety of landscapes where native plants host butterflies, insects, and birds while living side by side with lawns, vegetables, trees, and concrete!

This year’s event is Saturday August 6, 10 am – 2 pm. At the bottom are the 6 landscapes featured on the tour. There are still openings for volunteers to help welcome attendees and/or help the landowners with questions as a roving naturalist. Shifts are 10:00 am to noon or noon to 2:00 pm.

To read descriptions of the landscapes go to: https://www.wachiskaaudubon.org/_files/ugd/cd9e45_106344f896f349ebbb4c7883c3fc23d4.pdf
