Schramm Land Stewards

Tuesday, June 17th from 9am - noon
Schramm Education Center, Gretna Ne

Looking to get outdoors and volunteer? Schramm Park SRA is holding a volunteer opportunity to assist with oak woodland restoration efforts. Join NGPC staff as we work on brush piling and forest floor cleanup along the Hackberry and Red Cedar trail.

Wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes, bring water, and outdoor work gloves. Long sleeves are also recommended. All ages are welcome for this opportunity, but anyone under the age of 18 must have an accompanying adult.

Meet at the park shelter next to Pond A. We’ll kick things off at 9 am with an introduction to the project and then hike up into the forest as a group to get started. Volunteers will need to sign a standard volunteer waiver upon arrival. We are meeting in the park, so a state park vehicle permit is required.
