The recent warm weather has certainly stirred up spring fever and a renewed desire to get outside. In the weeks ahead, our agency will be hosting several engaging events focused on introducing youth to outdoor recreation, and you are invited to be part of the experience.
We are currently preparing for the Outdoor Discovery Program, hosted in partnership with an incredible group of volunteers and collaborators. Each day, nearly 1,000 enthusiastic students attend, eager to learn and experience hands-on outdoor activities. To make it all possible, we need your help.
Volunteer roles vary widely, from assisting on the archery range and preparing Dutch oven desserts to coaching archery. Whatever your skills or interests, there’s a place for you.
These events offer more than just an opportunity to lend a hand. They provide a refreshing break from your normal routine, a chance to see firsthand the breadth of programs and services our agency delivers, and an opportunity to connect with colleagues while engaging directly with the public. Training is provided, and no prior experience is necessary.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.
Thank you for your support — we look forward to seeing many of you this spring!
