Amphibians of Nebraska

Hop into the fascinating world of Nebraska amphibians with state herpetologist Dennis Ferraro. This event is FREE and will take place on Saturday, May 2nd. You may attend one or both sessions.

Introduction to Amphibians of Nebraska from 2:00 - 4:30 pm in the Schramm Education Center Classroom & Outdoor Classroom.

This program will include:

Classroom time learning about amphibians
See live examples of many of Nebraska’s frogs, toads, and salamanders
Outdoor hands-on time catching frogs

Frog & Toad Calls Identification from 7:30 - 9:00 pm. You will learn about Nebraska frog calls in the classroom and then we will walk down to the park around sunset to hear frog calls. Bring a flashlight or headlamp and prepare to walk about a mile.
