Dawn Bryant

My name is Dawn E. Bryant. I took my Nebraska Master Naturalist training at the Niobrara Valley Nature Preserve in June of 2018. I live on the western side of the state, in Thedford, NE. I have been in love with the outdoors and conservation all of my life and I should have fulfilled my childhood dream of being a botanist or a forest Ranger. Life took me in other directions and I ended up as a newspaper editor/reporter/photographer for 30+ years and have spent the last 16 years raising my children. I spent part of that time as a landscape photographer/artist. I was also an EMT for 21 years and I have been a volunteer firefighter for 23 years, with most of those years spent fighting wildfires. I am currently the assistant librarian with the Thomas County Library and I work to introduce our students and patrons to books that will teach them more about the outdoors as well as conservation.
