Denise Pecha

Social worker and licensed mental health practitioner. Married with 3 grown sons, 2 cats and a Border Collie. My husband and I are both Nebraska Master Naturalists. We enjoy traveling throughout Nebraska, kayaking, photography and spending time with family and friends.  We are huge fans of living in the central flyway and enjoy all the migrations, especially the Sandhill Cranes. My day job is with a national organization where I work in public health.  I am a facilitator, trainer, speaker and passionate about addressing inequities. My husband and I are in the process of converting our lawn into a pollinator friendly yard. I am involved in the Bumble Bee Atlas and many of the bird counts.  I have strong interests in conservation (particularly prairie and water), education and community science.
