Snakes have scales. Mammals have fur. Birds have feathers. Salamanders have skin. Invertebrates have an exoskeleton. All of these body coverings help animals protect themselves, as well as help them thrive in their environments. In this episode we will look at the science behind scales, fur, feathers, skin and exoskeletons. What animals have them? What are they made of? What are some cool things they can do with them? Do they change color? All of these questions and many more will be answered. Join us and see!
