We are in the early stages of planning the Nebraska Forest Service’s flagship public education event “Forest Festival” which will occur on Friday September 9th, 2022 from 4-8 PM CST at Horning State Farm in Plattsmouth, Nebraska.

In 2019 the event garnered over 900 attendees and although Forest Fest did not occur in-person in 2020 or 2021 due to the pandemic, we are hoping to bring it back better than ever! We wanted to reach out inquire if you would be willing to come to the event and lead an educational activity or two for the public from 4-7:30?

This event is geared towards families with children. Our goal is to connect Nebraskans, especially youth, with their trees and forests in order to inspire the next generation of tree planters and conservation stewards in our great state. Dinner and a complimentary event shirt will be provided for volunteers. Partner logos can also be included on the event’s website and other promotional materials. Many of the activities in 2019 were focused on nature or STEM education and family-fun, something that I believe you would fit right in with.
