CE: Science of…Turtles

Thursday, January 28, 2021

Online

Turtles are reptiles and one of the oldest and most primitive in this group. They can be found in almost every type of climate and are extremely diverse. In Nebraska, we have nine different species of turtles and most are adapted for a life in the water. But, like any other group of animal there are always exceptions. Come join us in this episode to learn all about the ins and outs of turtles. Why did they evolve to have a shell? What is their “beak” made out of? What do they eat? How big can they get? Join us and see!
