PATH (Pollinator Alliance of the Heartland), Milkweed and Cookies: Native plant give-away program, presentations, and a vendor fair.

Bellevue University in Bellevue

The Pollinator Alliance of the Heartland would like to invite Nebraska Master Naturalists to attend our third annual "Milkweed and Cookies" event that will be held at Bellevue University in Bellevue, Nebraska on Saturday, September 13th from 12:00PM to 4:00PM.

This event will be made up of a couple of parts: a native plant give-away program, presentations, and a vendor fair. The plant giveaway is limited to 160 households, but all members of the household are invited to the event for a family-friendly day. We are currently estimating approximately 250 participants.

We'd love to have as many local area, eco-friendly businesses and organizations available at the vendor fair to educate and provide services to the participants. You are welcome to sell any products that you may have. Children's activities are encouraged, but not required. The name of the event "Milkweed and Cookies" reflects the time of year with the monarch migration and the importance of milkweed for the monarch's survival. Your vendor booth is not required to be monarch/milkweed themed but it is an idea if you need one!

The Pollinator Alliance of the Heartland is a 501c3 non-profit organization that focuses on pollinator conservation, native plant gardening, and education. Cookies and refreshments will be available during the event. More information about our organization can be found at http://pathmidwest.org

Vendors will be provided with one table and two chairs. If attending, please let us know if you need any additional tables or chairs. This event will be indoors in the basement of the John B. Muller Administrative Services Building on the Bellevue University campus at 812 Bruin Blvd, Bellevue, NE 68005.

There will also be a raffle during the vendor fair, we would greatly appreciate your donation! Suggested donation items include (but are not limited to) books by Heather Holm, Douglas Tallamy, and Benjamin Vogt; gift cards to Midwest Natives Nursery or Prairie Legacy Inc; seed mixes from Prairie Legacy Inc.; seed growing tools like lights and trays; garden tools and decorations (please no pesticides); and of course products from your own business or organization.

Please reply back and let me know if NMN will be available to attend our event and/or be interested in providing a raffle item donation.
If you have any questions please let me know. Thank you!
